It appears The Nittany Lions will be heading back to "The Grandaddy of Them All". The Rose Bowl! Two of the most memorable runs in the history of Penn State Football took place in Pasadena, and even though we've seen them a million times before, let's take another trip down memory lane, as these certainly never get old.
The 1994 Penn State Offense was arguably one of the greatest to ever play the game. I think most would agree that the Ducks had virtually no shot at stopping PSU that day. That notion was solidified on Penn State's first offensive play when Ki-Jana Carter took the handoff from Kerry Collins and went straight to the house for an 83-yard touchdown! Let's roll the tape...
Fast forward to the 2017 Rose Bowl. An epic battle between Penn State and USC. Unfortunately, the Lions would not come home victorious, but we sure did see something special from Saquon that night. Saquon Barkley was nothing short of a human highlight film at PSU and his 79-yard TD run against the Trojans is perhaps the greatest run in the history of the Blue & White. Watch and enjoy!
The 109th annual Rose Bowl will take place on Jan 2nd, 2023. If all goes as expected this evening, our beloved Nittany Lions will take on the Utes from Utah. Is another magical run on the horizon? There's no doubt the PSU freshman backs have the goods! WE ARE...!!!
